Karakachan, a livestock guardian dog, is intelligent, cautious, powerful, independent, and dominant. These dogs are typically courageous too. These Bulgarian Dog Breeds need many active exercises and are not a suitable fit for urban city life. The impressive Karakachan has a long, thick coat of white, brown, or black shades. These working dogs weigh about (40-57)kgs and rise at (60-75)cms with a lifespan of 12-14years. They love working and patrolling the flocks. This hardy and dedicated dog is affectionate and protective towards humans making great family dogs. They need frequent grooming and can be expensive, depending on the quality.
