Pshdar
Pshdar is a livestock guardian dog native to Kurdistan. They are ancient breeds dating back to the Mesopotamian era. It is also called Kurdish Mastiff or Assyrian Shepherd Kurdistan dog breed and is prized for their stamina and power. Pshdar is courageous, fearless and protective by nature and was used for hunting wild animals, protective flocks and as guard dogs.
They are good companions who are best suited for homes having open yards, need daily exercise and have low grooming needs. It has short-haired coats of fawn, red or black shades, larger dewlaps, long tail with curled end and features a Lion-like slender physique. This large-sized dog lives 10-12 years and is not prone to any major health issues.
